LOCAL ELECTION CAMPAIGNS BOOSTED BY FACEBOOK

The Independent Network recommends that independent candidates, councillors and groups campaign with Facebook. Never before has the integration of social media been more important to your strategy.

The US tea-party / independent movement is a grass-roots movement that is having a massive impact on the US politics. At present the US tea party / independent movement are co-opting two things that we, at the Independent Network, hold dear:

Grant refusal demands donation response

The Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust (JRRT) has declined the Independent Network’s grant request for £80,000 over three years.

The Trust funds campaigns that aim to remove imbalances of power within the UK democracy.

Experienced volunteers needed to aid Independent candidates

If applicable, the election agent must prepare the election expenses return. If there is no election agent, candidates must prepare their own return. It must include:

Daisy Ford Resigns from IN Executive

Picture of Daisy FordDaisy Ford has resigned from the Independent Network’s Executive to concentrate on her career after eight months of voluntary involvement. She was the only member of the Executive to not be standing for election this year, meaning that she was able to provide level-headed input and guidance to the Network from an objective perspective. Her insight into the student vote and youth movements was extremely valuable in the run-up to the election.
